The Media Matters, Inc., a full services marketing agency based in the NC Triad has expanded their team with the addition of Dana Murphy, who will serve as the company’s Public Relations Coordinator. In this newly created position, Murphy will oversee public relations initiatives and social media. She will also assist with various other marketing support The Media Matters provides its clients, many of whom participate in multiple trade shows throughout the country.

With a concentration in Public Relations, Murphy graduated in 2009 from East Carolina University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Distributive Technology and Merchandising. During her years at ECU, Murphy held public relations internships with Trone, Inc., and the ECU Student Affairs Department. "Growing up in High Point, I have always had an interest in the furniture market. Because The Media Matters focuses on the home furnishings industry, I couldn't have found a more ideal position and agency to work for,” said Murphy.
Company founder and president Kathy Wall added, “We’re excited to have Dana joining our team. Business is improving and requests for proposals are on the rise. The addition of this position is timely and we believe Dana will bring new ideas and a fresh perspective to our team and our clients.”
