AT HIGH POINT MARKET - SLIGH'S ESPRESSO MODULAR HOME OFFICE
April 2009, Holland, MI— Consumers today are transformed. They want to arrange furnishings solutions their way. Yet they don’t want the cost of built-in solutions. And they want to be able to readily move things around in a room or to another home. Consumers want furniture solutions that help them express their personal style. All of these aspirations are realized in Sligh’s newest introduction: Espresso Modular Home Office.
Unique to the modular home office category, Espresso brings chic styling and superior craftsmanship together with smartly thought-out pieces filled with the functionality needed for the modern home office. Nine highly adaptable components can be shaped and molded to suit dozens of work-friendly layouts.
The centerpieces of Espresso are the two partner’s desks. The first, a peninsula desk, 111EP-508, offers a reversible pedestal of file and storage drawers on one side and a closed shelf storage pedestal on the other. Each side of the partner’s desk has a reeded center drawer, and all the drawers are beautifully finished with custom-designed brushed nickel pendant-shaped pulls. The other option, the 111EP-510 desk, can be used in the peninsula configuration or as a stand-alone piece. Its eye-catching design is unmatched, beginning with a sleek brushed nickel base in a modern trestle shape atop which rests a generously-sized work surface with opposing partner’s center drawers underneath. Both desks are crafted of select hardwoods and maple veneers, finished in a satiny, rich brown hue.
Other pieces include a corner desk containing Sligh’s signature laptop docking/charging station; a smaller-scaled single pedestal desk which also has a laptop station; three versatile storage decks—two with a cantilevered design, including one with open storage and another with doors; a file/storage cabinet with two upper storage drawers plus a lower lateral file drawer, and two divided open storage areas with one black leather storage tray; and a multi-purpose equipment cabinet that has open storage, drawer storage, two leather-tray storage areas, and two letter/legal file drawers plus a five-outlet surge suppressor and Sligh’s laptop docking/charging station.
From a suburban home to a metropolitan loft, Espresso’s urbane styling and astounding adaptability allows homeowners to have the sophisticated furnishings they desire and the freedom to personalize their workspace as they need.
Espresso Modular Home Office will be available through fine retailers nationwide fall 2009.
