April 2009, Hudson, NC— Kincaid Furniture is offering consumers a unique shopping experience which allows them to browse Kincaid’s entire product line at their own pace in a comfortable setting, by equipping participating retailers with the most up-to-date and user-friendly technology, graphics, and product displays available.
“Kincaid Shoppe” was developed with the consumer in mind by creating a manageable retail space where they can easily browse Kincaid solid wood furniture and custom upholstery. The 2,000 square foot display will include three bedroom groups utilizing their exclusive “Kinetics” mattress line (along with 8 short rail displays), four dining groups (with 11 chair varieties displayed), two upholstery groups, and four entertainment consoles with matching occasional tables—so shoppers can experience a broad range of the company’s beautiful styles while discovering a wide variety of colors, textures, fabrics, and finish options — all at their own pace.
Retailers will also have an opportunity to choose from three variations of product selections, depending on their individual preferences. The “Casual” version will include Kincaid’s more laid-back, casual offerings. The “Classic” version will contain a variety of traditional and Louis Philippe collections. The “Designer” version will comprise higher-end offerings, including their Laura Ashley casegood collections. “The advantage of investing in this 2,000 square foot display is it allows the retailer to have full access to Kincaid’s 22 wood collections, 65 upholstery frames, 650 fabrics, and the complete “Kinetics” mattress line,” notes Todd Hady, Kincaid’s vice president of sales and marketing. Kincaid is looking to garner interest from many of their existing accounts, as well as new accounts.
What makes Kincaid Shoppe even more unique is their exclusive patent-pending “ShoppeLink™” touch-screen interactive kiosk. “ShoppeLink” is included with every Kincaid Shoppe installation, and enables consumers to browse every product in the Kincaid line and get instant, real-time availability as well as pricing information. “ShoppeLink” makes furniture shopping easy by providing accurate information to complete the sale. Retailers will like it because the system leaves nothing to chance, sales associates can close the sale quickly and rest assured the information being given the customer is timely. Customers can also use “ShoppeLink” to take a virtual factory tour of a Kincaid plant, and watch how Kincaid’s furniture is made.
The “Kincaid Shoppe” was developed by their in-house design team to have an upscale, unified look with matching signage and pre-planned wall paint color schemes and wood flooring. Detailed floor plans, nine floor banners, custom-designed risers, and display stands are also included.
