Hospice of Davidson County Names The Media Matters as Agency of Record

Hospice of Davidson County, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, has selected marketing specialists The Media Matters, Inc. as its agency of record. The Media Matters will develop and implement a comprehensive public relations, social media and advertising strategy that bolsters Hospice of Davidson County’s short and long-term marketing initiatives.  The Lexington, NC-based firm was chosen because of its balanced offerings in both traditional and new media, as well as their reputation for high impact creative thinking and executable ideas.

Laura Owen, CEO of Hospice of Davidson County stated, “Our organization has grown significantly over the past three decades, and we want to ensure we are strategically utilizing all marketing platforms, while being good stewards of our resources. The ever-changing world of traditional and digital media, including the increasing importance of social media platforms, requires unique skill sets. We look forward to leveraging the expertise of The Media Matters to expand awareness of our wide range of services during this milestone year.”

As the area’s premier hospice care provider, Hospice of Davidson County is accredited by ACHC, the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, ensuring that they adhere to the highest standards of care and provide the most comprehensive services for Davidson County patients and their families.  They are also partners with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, the Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care, and the Association for Home & Hospice Care of North Carolina.  Locally, Hospice of Davidson County is an involved and caring community ambassador.  They work or partner with virtually every healthcare provider in the county and with numerous non-profit organizations including Davidson Medical Ministries and Family Services of Davidson County.

“It is an honor and privilege to represent Hospice of Davidson County and help them further their mission of empowering individuals to make educated choices about end of life care.  Most know Hospice as an in-home patient care program, but they also offer grief and bereavement counseling services. And, The Henry Etta & Bruce Hinkle Hospice House is the county’s only inpatient facility dedicated to expert hospice care for patients and families of Davidson County. Our emphasis will be on communicating their full range of programs and services.” said Kathy Wall, president and ringleader of The Media Matters.
