Ceja International set for debut at High Point Market

September 20, 2011 High Point, NC -- Furniture industry veteran Paul Greenbaum has launched Ceja International, an importer of Italian marble tables and accent furniture.

The company, headquartered in Woodbridge, CT, is debuting at the High Point Market next month in Suite 4L of the Commerce & Design Building (C&D).

Greenbaum, who serves as president of the new concern, has long been recognized as an exceptional merchant with a keen eye and passion for fine furnishings. A third-generation retailer, he made a name or himself at the award-winning Wayside Furniture, and later at Breuners, at the time, the largest high-end retail chain in the country. Most recently, Greenbaum served as vice president of sales and marketing for Excelsior Designs, a purveyor of high-end, contemporary Italian case goods.

According to Greenbaum, Ceja International is introducing ten exclusive collections at the Fall 2011 Market, encompassing more than 40 pieces of Italian crafted marble dining and occasional tables, desks and accents. Scaled for the American market, and reflecting the quality, integrity and value normally associated with the country of origin, the designs span casual and transitional styles, as well as fashion-forward modern looks.

Manufactured in Italy, each of the pieces incorporates fine marbles culled from Italian quarries, including Beige Corallo, Travertine, Etruscan Grey, Walnut Travertine, Emperador and Bianco Carrara, with Nero Marquina mined in Spain. “The product line brings a natural element to the design process with the inherent beauty that stone provides,” Greenbaum says. “Ideally suited for today’s eclectic living environments, all marble tops feature either polyester matte, polyester satin or polyester high-gloss finish applications which provide a durable surface for entertaining or display.”

Retail price points for dining range from $1,699 to $3,999 for an 84’’x44” table with a Beige Corallo top finished in high-gloss polyester with gold dust and gold-leaf finish on the legs. The marble top features a one-and-a-half inch ogee edge. Consoles will retail between $1,399 and $2,999; cocktails from $1,199 to $2,699 and desks between $1,999 and $3,499.

Targeting an extensive, multi-cultural consumer base in both primary and secondary metropolitan consumer markets, Ceja International is warehousing its products domestically and offers a stocking program with shipment in four to eight weeks.

The line will be serviced via a network of regional independent sales representatives. Additionally, Greenbaum says, “Although presented in a specific marble and apron profile normally associated with a domestic stocking strategy, we also have the ability to serve the design community with custom orders based on their clients’ needs.”
