Building on success of largest whole-home furniture and upholstery collection

April 2011, Hudson, NC—Building on the success of its largest ever whole-home case goods and upholstery introduction, Kincaid Furniture is adding a new solid walnut dining group to the Homecoming collection at the April 2011 High Point Market.

With more than 100 beautiful pieces crafted of solid pine, solid maple and birch, and solid walnut, Homecoming takes the best farmhouse furnishings from the past and reinterprets those inspirations into updated, multi-functional classics for today’s modern lifestyles. Designs range from simple rusticity to sophisticated elegance, all with thoughtful detailing that infuses the collection with the spirit of long-cherished collectibles.

Much as you would find in a home where furniture has been handed down or lovingly collected, Homecoming’s pieces are designed to mix with one another across various wood species and finishes.

Homecoming is the pilot collection for the American Home Furnishings Alliances’ new Eco3Home program, signifying that each piece meets or exceeds all mandatory and voluntary standards for safety, health and environmental stewardship. In addition, Homecoming is the cornerstone of a three-year partnership between Kincaid and Habitat for Humanity International. For each Homecoming collection item sold, Kincaid donates 1 percent of the wholesale price to Habitat for Humanity.

In its original introduction at the October High Point Market, the Homecoming collection featured a select number of solid walnut bedroom and occasional pieces, including an eye-catching collector’s cabinet. Based on the overwhelming response these pieces received, Kincaid opted to expand the walnut side of the collection this market with a complete dining group.

Kincaid shows in the IHFC’s Hamilton wing, Space 1204.
